History :
This print is part of the series of ten etchings published as an album by Editions Apollo for Galerie Weill in 1930. One hundred albums, numbered from 1 to 100, were made on Vélin de van Gelder and ten luxury albums including two sets of engravings, one on vellum and the other on ancient Japan, were numbered from I to X. On the other hand, five non-commercial albums have been written from A to E.
All the engravings on this album are signed and numbered off the plate.
The artist will reserve a few luxury copies on parchment for each of the subjects.
