TEFAF Maastricht: The Gallery’s First Participation in 2026
TEFAF Maastricht: The Most Prestigious Art Fair in the World
We were honoured to participate for the first time in TEFAF Maastricht. Often described as “the world’s leading art fair”, it marks a turning point in the gallery’s history.
Each spring in Maastricht, around 280 galleries—among the most renowned in their field—present their finest works.
Collectors and major museums gather in this small Dutch city, which, for a fortnight, becomes the global capital of the art market.
The outstanding quality of the works, the diversity of specialties, and the rigorous vetting carried out by independent experts—internationally renowned curators and art historians—have made the fair a cornerstone of the art market.
Despite the proliferation of art fairs, none has ever rivalled TEFAF Maastricht in terms of prestige.
A Selection to Match the Prestige of This International Event
The gallery sought to align itself with an event whose prestige is beyond question.
For its first participation, it conceived a display centred on the Territories of Modernity. This presentation highlights how, at the beginning of the 20th century, artists moved away from the capital, finding in regional landscapes—Provence, Brittany, Normandy—the inspiration for a gradual evolution of their painting towards modernity.
This transformation was not abrupt, but the result of subtle and progressive shifts, which we aimed to underscore through our selection.
Works by Renoir, Pissarro, Cross, Bonnard, Maurice Denis, Henri Martin, Guillaumin, Marquet, Camoin, Valtat, Dufy and Van Dongen were presented alongside those of Picasso and Bernard Buffet, heirs to a figurative tradition that was profoundly challenged in the post-war period.
The fair was a great success, and we sincerely thank all collectors and institutions who came to meet us.
